Scott Day Conger

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Scott Day Conger, at the age of 59, on February 12, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas. Born on September 23, 1965, Scott graced this world with his presence and touched the lives of many with his kind-hearted and affable nature. Scott received his education in Kansas, attending Shawnee Mission East High School and furthering his studies at the University of Kansas, where he was in the fraternity Phi Gamma Delta, and then moving to Kansas State University. He built a respected career of over twenty years as a Table Games Supervisor in the casino industry, where he was esteemed for his professionalism and unwavering commitment to customer service. Outside of his profession endeavors, Scott was an enthusiastic cook and baker, often sharing his delicious creations with family and friends. Scott was best known for his BBQ and Rum Cake. An ardent fisherman, he cherished his annual fishing trips to Lake Shasta, with his cousins Andy; Matt, Jim and all "The Boys". He took pleaser in the simple joys of nature and camaraderie. His love for spending time with his family and friends was evident in his never-ending smile. Scott leaves behind his beloved wife, Cynthia Conger; his sister Kathryn Conger-Bickham, along with her husband Terry; sister-in-law Brandie Keyes and her husband Patrick, and Annette Cunningham and her husband Richard; as well as two nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, Dennis L. Conger and Linda M. (Day) Conger; mother-in-law Lettitia " Tish" Antoniello and brother-in-law William "Bill" Antoniello. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service for Scott on a date to be announced, allowing those who him to honor his memory. It's encouraged that anyone who knew Scott to come and share stories of their time with Scott and honor his memory in the way that Scott would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association in for of Scott's compassionate spirit and his support for the community. Scott's generous soul and enduring optimism will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
