Michael Patrick Odell

On Tuesday April 28, 2020, Michael Patrick Odell, passed away at the age of 46. He was born on February 1, 1974 to Linda and Bernard Odell and grew up in Raytown, MO. He was a loyal friend to many and loved to help anyone in need. He loved working with his hands with woodworking projects and mechanical tinkering. He also LOVED to teach all his children and stepchildren and any who wanted to learn how to make things. He worked at QuikTrip Distribution based in Belton, Mo since 2003 ending as a Logistics Driver. He worked at Fun House Pizza in Raytown, Mo in his teenage years through adulthood. Mike was a Christian man who always put other people’s needs and feelings before his own, often dropping what he was doing to help someone in need. He deeply loved his family, especially his mother, Linda, his daughter, Emma and his son, Rylie. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He had deep respect for his Irish heritage, loved Celtic music, especially listening to his friend, musician Bob Reeder at O’Malleys in Weston, Missouri. Mike had a genius IQ, but didn’t consider himself better than others. He loved to learn, always listening to podcasts and reading. He liked sharing his knowledge with others, especially his best friend Michael and his children. He had a fascination for wood and considered a trip through the wood store as a fun date. He loved to cook and had amazing kitchen skills. I take solace knowing you are finally at peace. Mike considered his sister Grace to be his 2nd mom. He actually introduced people to her this way. She would bring him with her to hang out with friends and on dates. He loved her deeply as well and they took care of each other. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Bernard, and is survived by his wife, Sarah Odell, his daughter Emma Odell, his son Rylie Odell, a stepson Robert Woolf (Falken), a stepdaughter Meghan Brown, a granddaughter Lydia Woolf, his mother Linda Odell, his step-mom Eileen Odell, his sister Grace Greenfield (Bruce), his brother William Perry Odell, two nieces, Cassie Crow (Michael), and Jessie Greenfield (Meredith), great nephews Jacob and Blaise Crow, a great niece Nevaeh Crow as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins. Due to circumstances beyond control the family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
