Jennifer Anderson Kneaves

With heavy hearts, the family of Jennifer Kneaves announces her passing on July 30, 2026. Born on January 22, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, Jennifer lived each day with a gentle heart and a servant's spirit. She believed kindness was one of life's greatest gifts and shared it freely with everyone she met. Her compassion extended beyond her family and friends to the countless individuals with disabilities she supported throughout her career, building relationships that meant as much to her as the work itself. She found joy in encouraging others and making people feel seen, important, and loved. Those who knew Jennifer will remember her for her listening ear, thoughtful words, and remarkable ability to make others feel important. Whether through a daily Bible verse, an inspiring quote, or simply a conversation, she always seemed to know when someone needed encouragement. She had a gift for helping people through life's hardships, celebrating their victories, and reminding them that even difficult seasons could lead to growth. More than anything, Jennifer treasured her family, her friendships, and the memories made with those she loved. Her home, heart, and arms were always open. She showed those around her how to love wholeheartedly, extend grace, and find beauty in life's simplest moments. Jennifer is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Scott; her children, Veronica, Erin, Tiffany, Jason, and Mariah; six grandchildren; her sisters, Kathy, Roxie, Robin, and Jeannie; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and treasured friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bob" Anderson, Rosemary Pilsl, and her stepfather, Paul Pilsl, as well as her siblings, Johnny and Glenda. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the love Jennifer shared lives on in every act of kindness inspired by her, every encouraging word remembered, and every life she touched. Her example reminds us that the greatest measure of a life is found in how deeply we love and how willing we are to accept the love of others. A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 2400 US-50Hwy, Lee’s Summit, Mo 64063 on August 8th at 1pm for Visitation and 2pm for a Celebration of Life Service. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, share stories, and celebrate the extraordinary kindness that defined her life. As Maya Angelou said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Those words reflect the way Jennifer lived her life. She made people feel loved, accepted, and worthy, and that is the gift she leaves behind. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
