Glenn Steven Woods

Glenn Steven Woods, 70, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Glenn was born in Drexel Hill, PA, in August 1954 to Archibald G. Woods and Carol (Kammeyer) Woods. As a child, he was baptized in both the Baptist and Lutheran faiths. As an adult, he was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Concordia, MO. Glenn is survived by his wife, Snowda “Snow” Woods, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. They built a beautiful family, raising three children: Gabriel “Gabe” Woods (wife Rebecca) and daughters, Breawna and Zadie, along with Rebecca’s daughters, Jaylin Mays, Jade and Jacey Jolly. Raquel “Rocky” Stark (husband Roger) and their son, Quade. Dustin “Dusty” Woods (fiancée Murphy) and children, Brendan and Emma, as well as Murphy’s daughters, Isabelle and Danielle. He is also survived by his sister, Denna; his brothers, Jeff and Scott; and many extended family members. Glenn was preceded in death by his brother, Grant. Glenn had a larger-than-life personality and a remarkable ability to make people laugh. He loved a cold beer, rare steak and cheering on his Kansas City Chiefs. He was a dedicated member of the Concordia Lions Club and Blue Springs Elks Lodge #2509. Additionally, he was a proud member of the United Autoworkers Local 31 (UAW Local 31). Fishing and hunting were among his favorite pastimes, and he had a deep love for get-togethers, where he could “shoot the breeze” and enjoy the company of those around him. Throughout his life, Glenn was a father figure to many, earning the affectionate title of “Dad”. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren and cherished the relationships he built with friends, neighbors, and coworkers. For Glenn, life was a celebration, and everyone was invited to the party! A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Blue Springs Elks Lodge #2509, located at 100 NE Brizendine Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64014, in the upper room. The service will begin at 2:00 PM. Glenn will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter and joy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
