Enrique Javier Perdomo

Enrique Javier Perdomo, our sunshine and our joy, was born on September 1, 2021, in Independence, Missouri. He went home to Heaven with his Nanny and God on September 2, 2025, at the age of four. At just four months old, Enrique was diagnosed with a brain tumor. From that day forward, he bravely endured countless surgeries, procedures, and medications. Even after losing his vision, his spirit never dimmed. Enrique’s light continued to shine brightly—he was always smiling, always laughing, always reminding those around him that happiness can be found even in the hardest times. Enrique loved music more than anything. He was happiest when “DJ Enrique” was at his turntable, filling the room with songs that made him dance and laugh. His favorite songs were “You Are My Sunshine” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot” by Snoop Dogg. He had a playful spirit and especially enjoyed giggling when his big brother was getting into a little trouble. Whether he was staying up late, playing with his tubes and laughing through the night, dancing the Macarena, watching light shows, or spending time with his mom, big brother, little sister, or anyone lucky enough to be near him—Enrique brought joy, energy, and love into every moment. Enrique humbled us all with his resilience and with the beautiful reminder that no matter what this world throws at you, you can still choose joy. He was a warrior—the toughest little man—who fought with courage and strength until the very end. Even after his passing, Enrique gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation. His heart continues to beat on in another child, and his kidneys gave a woman a second chance at life. Enrique is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rebecca Ballard. He is survived by his loving parents, Kendra Ballard and Norlin Perdomo; his brother, Emilio; his sister, Luna; his grandparents, Kendall Ballard and Remigio & Solia Perdomo; his great-grandparents, Opal Hill and Paul Ballard; his aunts and uncles, Amy Turner (Brad), Nick Rice, Kody Ballard (Aubree), Cassie Ballard, Ashley Ballard, Lauri Perdomo, Lesby Perdomo, Yessenia Perdomo, Deibin Perdomo, and Jose Perdomo; and his cousins, Sydne Brashear, Mason Turner, Mia Finnel, and four other beloved cousins. Enrique will forever be remembered as our sunshine—our only sunshine—who made us happy even when skies were gray. His laughter, his music, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and all who loved him. A Celebration of Enrique’s Life will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Elks Lodge, 100 NE Brizendine (Back Lower Level), Blue Springs, Missouri 64014. And when it was time for your soul to take flight, You gave yet another the gift of your light. Your heart beats on, though you’re far away, Guiding us gently, come what may.
