Deborah Josephine Watts-Ramsey

Deborah J. Watts-Ramsey Debbie passed away on April 6 2022 after a brief illness in Kansas City, Missouri. Born December 24, 1953 in Ottawa she was the second child of Kenneth Watts, Sr. and Evelyn Nuessen Watts. Debbie was fortunate to grow up in the country and allowed to explore. She attended a one room elementary school at Greenwood in the Chippewa Hills near Pomona, Ks. Graduating from the 8th grade in 1967. And from Pomona High School in 1971. Moving to Emporia she met and married Peter Gutierrez. They later divorced. Living in Topeka brought her husband, Earl "Jody" Ramsey into her life. He survives. Loving to travel she was an OTR driver for 27 years . More recently working at SystemAir doing quality control. Someone of varied interests , she liked casinos, bowling, shooting pool, reading and camping with her family. Fishing was ok as long as someone else baited the hook and took the fish off. Never knowing a stranger Deb accepted everyone as they were and would help anyone. She was blessed with four children. All surviving. And bonus children Dishaki Mitchell and Earl (Ashley) Ramsey Jr. 18 grandchildren: Michalea, Treyvon, Alexander, Camrin, Adayah, Xavion, Petey, Shaun, Soraya, I'jhanae, Skylah, Jakhai,Derick, Delshon, Quinton, Isaiah, Aanaree, and Reeanna. Also surviving are her brother Charlie(Glenda) Watts, Olathe. Sisters. Sherry Watts., Ottawa Brenda (Roy) Hawkins, Ottawa, Kathi Watts of Hillsdale, Many nieces, nephews, adopted children and grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Kenneth "Buzzy" Watts Jr. and Doug Watts. Great niece. Reece Avery Watts Stepson Quinton Pendleton, Grandsons Gabrielle Ramsey and Dareion Fields. Brother-in-law. Bobby Ramsey. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pomona Lake on April 23rd from 12-4pm. Meats, sides and drinks w ill be provided by the family. Anyone is welcome to bring a side dish or dessert. This is a outdoor Celebration of mom's life. Seating is limited lawn chairs are advised. DIRECTIONS OUTLOOK PARK POMONA LAKE, KS From US75 and K-268 junction. Proceed east on K-268 for 7 miles. Turn north on POMONA DAM RD Proceed 1/2 mile to 229th Street turn east and Proceed to parking entrance. There will be signs.
