Damon Eugene Earnshaw

Damon Eugene Earnshaw (45) of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. Born August 5, 1970, Damon was the son of local developer Robert R. Earnshaw. Damon was a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and Kansas State University. At Kansas State, Damon was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity where he proudly served as President of the Delta Theta Chapter. If you were a childhood, high school or college friend of Damon, you remained so for Damon’s entire life because he cherished friendships and thought of them as his family. Damon was passionate about the legacy of the Earnshaw name and it led him to his lifelong career in real estate. Damon thrived as a Realtor and over nearly two decades he led one of the most successful real estate teams in Kansas City helping over a thousand families realize their dreams. As a client of Damon’s you also received immediate and lasting entry into his world and over the years Damon frequently brought everyone in his life together for parties, vacations and celebrations. Damon once said “there is nothing more endearing than seeing a successful man let go and make a fool of himself on the dance floor – it shows great humility and confidence in just being happy wherever you are.” For anyone that knows Damon that makes him the most humble and confident man to ever live. As a cancer survivor Damon desperately wanted to help others through their challenges and he generously gave of himself. Throughout his entire life he placed the needs of others before his own; always sacrificing for someone else he felt was more deserving of his financial, spiritual or emotional help. This compassion was most evident in the love for his children. They were a constant source of light in his life and they will now live under Damon’s loving guidance from above. Damon is survived by his mother and step-father Barbara and Darrell Cain, siblings Todd Earnshaw and Cristi Earnshaw, his beloved fiancé Wendy Orlando, step-children Breana (16) and Logan (16) and sons Lincoln Reed (10), Reece Madden (22 months) and Skylar Robert (5 months). A celebration of Damon’s life will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at Westside Family Church – 8500 Woodsonia Drive, Lenexa, Kansas from 5 to 8:30 PM where Damon’s friends and relatives can celebrate his life and share their memories of Damon with one another.
