William Oliver Hagan

September 30, 1930 - March 7, 2021

William Oliver Hagan was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 30, 1930 the first of three sons to Thelma Mae Hagan and William Hagan I. He meet Agnes DePriest whom he married in 1948 and from that union subsequently had two children. He received his early public education in Topeka, Kansas and attended Topeka High School. After school, he started his working career working as a bellhop and porter before moving on in his employment to the Denver and Chicago Trucking Company. He worked for multiple logistical companies before retiring in 1992 from Greyhound where he was in a supervisor role overseeing lost baggage from customers. During his long life, he was an avid golfer introducing his children and grandchildren to the game. He was also a passionate model railroad hobbyist. He departed this life peacefully at home in Kansas City on March 7, 2021 at the age of 90 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind two children, Blenda Joy Hagan from Kansas City and Ronald Dean Hagan of Louisville Colorado, daughter in law, Glenda Hagan, four grandchildren, Melanie Rose Hagan of San Antonio, Texas, Oliver Hagan of Kansas City MO, April Johnson of Aurora ,Colorado and Ronson Hagan of Erie, Colorado. He is survived by two brothers, Norman Hagan of Gustine, California and Bobby Hagan of Alameda California along with several cousins and cherished friends. His parents and ex-wife has preceded him in death. His celebration of life services are currently being planned. The family would also like to thank the entire team at VNA Hospice for their caring professionalism and comforting compassion.
