Vivian Louise Langford

Vivian Louise (Sheirls) Langford was called home to her Heavenly Father on August 28th, 2019 at the age of 70 years old. Vivian passed away peacefully surrounded by family that loved her very much at KU Medical Center. Vivian was born on August 1, 1949 in Aerock, MO to Mary Marie(Wolf) and Henry Issen Sheirls. She grew up in Kansas City. MO with her mother Mary Marie and her step father Joe Robinson, Sister Jenny, Brother Billy and Sister Maryann. She attended school at North East High school. Vivian married Don E. Langford on April 9,1963 in Columbus, KS. Together they had two children Bessie Marie Langford and Don "Bub" Langford. Vivian and her husband lived in the Kansas City area for many years including Independence, Gladstone and the Kansas City metro area. They finally settled down in her husband's hometown of Pittsburgh, KS . They have lived together with their son Don Langford and his wife Leah Langford for the past 7 years in Frontenac, KS. While living in the Kansas City area Vivian worked at a Fabric Manufacturing Company in Riverside, MO. She was also an in home childcare provider along side her sister-in law Sue for many years. Vivian had a passion for crafts and sewing. She has made many treasures for loved ones throughout the years.She loved watching " Days Of Our Lives" everyday for many years. She was an avid sports fan who loved cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs . Of all the things that Vivian loved and enjoyed the most, her favorite thing to do was to be with family. Vivian loved her family with all her heart. She was a strong woman who never let any battle she faced tear her down. Including lung cancer that she fought so strongly for the past 7 years . She always tried to stay positive and have a smile on her face.She passed on this positivity and love to everyone that crossed her path. She is survived by her mother Mary Marie Robinson (97 yrs young); husband Don E Langford "Red"; Daughter Bessie Salmons (Mike Salmons) ; son Don " Bub" Langford ( Leah Langford); Granddaughters Amanda Walter ( Joey Walter), Samantha Rust ( Joey Rust); Grandson Codee; 6 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Sisters Jenny(last name),Maryann Robinson; brother Billy [middle and last name]; Step fatherJoeRobinson; Great Granddaughter Emma Sue Rust. Via Vivian’s request and wishes there will not be any funeral services held.
