Toni Renee Mooney

October 25, 1978 - March 3, 2022

Toni Renee Mooney, 43 of Topeka, KS passed away on March 3rd, 2022 at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. Toni passed peacefully with her husband by her side. Toni was born October 25th, 1978 in Lawrence, KS to Ricky and Sally Reno. She was raised in Lawrence and spent most of her younger years there. Toni was the second oldest to her three sisters. She attended Lawrence Schools and then spent most of her career in the hospitality and food industry. She married William Mooney on February 12th, 2018, he was the absolute love of her life. Toni is survived by her husband William Mooney of Topeka, KS. Children Nikita Watts of Joplin, MO, Tapainga Green (Scott) of Lawrence, KS, JD Martin of the home, Kali Mooney Lawrence, KS and Hunter Mooney Topeka, KS. Grandchildren Arizona and Jaxson Green of Lawrence, KS. Mother Sally Reno of Lawrence, KS, Grandparents Donald and Geneva Reno of Pittsburg, KS. Siblings Marie Jordan, Alicia Reno, April Reno and Nephew Austin Reno all of Lawrence, KS. Two dogs, a cat and a bird. Toni was preceded in death by her Father Ricky Reno and Grandparents Albert and Gene Matney. There will be a celebration of life on April 16th, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Lawrence Heights Christian Church located at 2321 Peterson Road, Lawrence, KS 66049 with Senior Pastor Steve Koberlein officiating. There will be a private graveside service for the family at a later date. Memorial donations in Toni's honor are suggested to Lawrence Heights Christian Church. A special thank you to the Stormont Vail Palative Care Team and KU Medical Center's Hospice Team. Toni was a loving, free spirited, one of a kind woman that took pride in her family and up until she couldn’t was a hard worker taking care of her home and family. She had a passion for elephants, collecting all kinds of elephant figurines. Toni loved the outdoors and camping was one of her favorite past times. She loved her family and friends to the fullest.
