Steven Anthony Clifton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Steven Anthony Clifton, born on August 23, 2003 in Independence MO. Passed June 16, 2019 in Kansas City MO. His celebration of life will be on Saturday June 29, 2019 1pm -5pm @ Community of Christ 3371Blue Ridge Blvd Independence, MO 64052 He is survived by his mother Jacklyn Clifton, father Michael Smith, sister Selena Clifton, brother Seth Smith, nephew Jay Kenyon, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. At the young age of three, Steven wanted to be Spiderman when he grew up. He absolutely idolized him. Once he got a little older he wanted to be a fireman. Then around the age of thirteen he had a fond interest in someday opening his own animal rescue. At fourteen years old he became really interested in photography, and was really good at it too. Once again, he had a new career goal and was going to be a photographer. Steven loved his family immensely, but most of all he loved being a brother and an uncle. Anyone who knew him knew not to mess with his loved ones. He had no shame in letting anyone know what he thought or felt, and he was sure to always have the last word. Steven took every opportunity to seize life. He was a young man with no fear. If you dared him to do something, he was without a doubt going to do it. If you told him he couldn't do something, he would do everything in his power to prove you wrong. He was strong willed and very head strong. This might have gotten him into trouble a few times 😉. Steven was into gymnastics and parkour. If he saw the opportunity to do a flip off of something, he took it. This could be off the porch, car, roof top, tree, even a utility box on the side of the road. This was just the kind of person Steven was, anyway he could make you laugh, smile, or completely terrify you, he would take it. He was also very artistic and loved to sing. The first song he ever sang was "big green tractor." Steven loved to cook, that doesn't necessarily mean he knew how to, haha. He would go in the kitchen, look for some pasta or rice, pull out a couple different seasonings, add some meat and see what he could come up with. And just for shock value, he would eat raw ground beef. He'd say "just sprinkle some garlic salt and pepper on it, and take a bite! I swear it's really good" but we just took his word for it. Steven had the most beautiful head of hair, and boy was he proud of it. He had that perfect flip that everyone wanted, and he did it so effortlessly. He took a lot of pride in how he looked. You didn't dare try and do anything with his feet, or you were liable to get kicked in the face, haha. Our sweet Steven, you touched the lives of everyone you met. You could brighten any room with your infectious smile. You brought us all many laughs and beautiful memories that we will forever cherish. You fought hard and loved harder, all the way to the very end. There are no words to begin to express how immensely you will be missed. You'll forever be in our hearts.
