Karen Ann George

Karen Ann George, 61, died peacefully at home after a courageous battle with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer on May 29, 2022. She was a sweet and loving artist and photographer. Karen enjoyed traveling, scuba diving in Mexico and her annual vacation in Fort Meyers, Florida. She graduated from North Kansas City high school in 1979 and University of Missouri Kansas City with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Karen was an avid fur-Mom of 17-year-old Buddy-the-Westie who passed away two weeks before she did. She was a Christian. Karen worked for SS&C Technologies for 18 years. She enjoyed her co-workers and deeply appreciated their support throughout her illness. She was preceded in death by “Mama” Lois and father Adolph George. She leaves behind her much beloved twin sister Sharon George, extended family in Minnesota many friends and loved ones. The family expresses appreciation for Nurse Meagan and the team at Kansas City Hospice for their care and concern. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
