Preceded in death by his mother and father and great grandsons Henry and Hudson Ewing, John was always the center of his family and was a quiet but spiritual man with great faith in the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of almost 60 years, Daughter, Kim and Bradley Veitenheimer of Windthorst, TX Son, Johnny and Sondra Craig of lake Kickapoo, TX. A highly skilled and accomplished welder, John worked on oil pipelines up and down the country keeping the black gold flowing in all weathers including the merciless Texas summer heat. For the past 6 years, after John had retired, he and his wife lived with his daughter, Melissa and her family in the Kansas City area where he continued to follow his passion for Bull-riding and one of his great pleasures, hitting Jackpots at the casinos. John will be eternally missed for his dry wit and sense of humor that he retained despite his failing health. We would like to thank all friends and family for their kind thoughts and blessings at this sad time as we celebrate the life of a great man that has left his mark on all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
