Jason A. Smith 46 – born (4-1-1976) passed away peacefully on (04-29-2022), surrounded by family and close friends in Independence MO. He was preceded in death by his parent Douglas W and Elizabeth F Smith and a brother Jeremiah D. Smith. He is survived by his 2 children – Aidan Crawford Smith & Nikola Smith. 3 brothers – Carl V Smith, Waylon R. Smith, & William N. Smith, several nieces and nephews, 3 great-nephews and 1 great-niece. 1 Aunt, Meloney D Terrell -(Larry). 1 Uncle, Thomas W. Borden, 2 cousins Stephanie R. Jones (Kyle) and Brandi Ulrich, several 2nd cousins. He also leaves his dear friends Ben and Vicki Smith whom he loved as a brother and sister, Mara Lindstedt and their families. Jason was a devoted and loving father. He was self-employed and loved remodeling and fixing up houses. He was very good with a hammer and loved working with his hands. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was very devoted to his family. Services will be May 22nd, 2022 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for family – friends may come from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm at 1417 w. College Terrace, Independence MO 64050. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s hospital.
