Dorothy Fay Richardson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy Fay Richardson, 80, of Independence, Missouri passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Dorothy was born April 9, 1941 in rural Benton County MO to Poe and Mary Ed (Bias) Bush. She is third of 5 children. She married Loren Lee Richardson on February 8, 1958, in Stover, MO. A private celebration of life service will be held forthcoming. Dorothy was active in her church. A devoted woman of faith and virtue, loved dearly by her family and friends, she lived a life of honesty, character and integrity. Wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all, her loving smile and generous spirit lifted the hearts of all that knew her. Dorothy saw beauty in everything and everyone in her life. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, spending time outdoors, flower gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with and mentoring her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Poe Ed Bush. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Loren Richardson; 1 daughter, Lorna Dalton (Paul) of Independence, MO; 2 sons: Wade Richardson (Joann) of Grain Valley, MO and Nathan Richardson (Jettie) of Odessa, MO; 2 sisters: Karen Huff and Mildred Fischer, 1 brother Woodrow Bush; 7 grandchildren: Will Richardson, Seth Richardson, Matthew Dalton, Faith Marquez, Ethan Richardson, Emma Kirk, and Alyssa Richardson; and 4 great grandchildren: Noelle, Cameron Rose, Milo, and Gabriel.
