David Ray Jackson

November 17, 1957 - February 12, 2021

David Ray Jackson, 63, of Independence, Missouri passed away February 12th, 2021 surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 14th, 2021 from 2pm - 5pm at The Runaway Lounge - 2418 NW Vivion Rd, Riverside, MO 64150; a Celebration will also be held at Lake of the Ozarks at a later date. David was born to Clifford Jackson and Anna Chestnut Russo on November 17th, 1957 in Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Rick Jackson and Larry Jackson; and sister Brenda Clark. He is survived by his brother Bruce Jackson; daughter, Jody Tate, whom he shared with former spouse, Dee Boyer; and son’s Corey Jackson (Kimberlee) and Jason Bauman (Tina), who he shared with former spouse, Linda Jackson; grandson Kayleb; granddaughter’s Anna and Cassady; grandfurbabies Gypsy, Johnny, Bo and Callie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. David had many passions, whether it be working mules, over-the-road-truck driving, running tow trucks at the race track, riding motorcycles or feeding his deer at the Lake; but there is nothing he was more passionate about and proud of than his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed his later years spent at the Lake with his brother and many close friends. He was known as Brother Dave by many, and he truly never knew a stranger.
