Andrew Vincent Soloducha

July 26, 1988 - March 12, 2022

Andrew V Soloducha, age 33, of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 from complications resulting from an auto accident. Andy was a registered organ donor. Because of his generous spirit, many will benefit from his donation. Andy grew up in Kansas City, MO. He attended St. Thomas More grade school, Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst University, class of 2014, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Starting with mowing lawns in grade school, Andy has worked numerous jobs. Food service, sales, pet care, aquatics, retail, property management, bouncer and general manager of a college town bar to name a few. The family joke was, if you saw a business on State Line, Andy had worked there. For the last several years, he worked in the cannabis industry, both recreational and medicinal. He learned the business from the ground up in Colorado, then returned to Missouri to work sales for Nuthera Labs in Riverside. Andy was passionate about the medicinal benefits of medical marijuana, especially for veterans suffering from PTSD. Andy loved all sports. At the age of four, he started competitive play at Kansas City MO 3&2. Andy was a swing-for-the-fences hitter. He launched several homeruns on all five 3&2 fields. Of course, he had to hit homeruns. His lightning speed was often compared to dragging a piano around the bases. He was also known for his pitching. It took a brave catcher to handle Andy’s fast ball. He loved the sound of the ball hitting the glove. He also enjoyed playing golf. As with baseball, Andy and his powerful swing won many longest drive contests. Besides sports, Andy enjoyed music, movies, and simply hanging out with friends and family. He listened to all kinds of music - classical, rock, Celtic, hip hop, Christmas, oldies and of course the crooners – Frank, Dean and Sammy. Andy had a library of movies and television shows. He and his brother could quote at least one line from every Seinfeld episode. Andy loved his family, friends, God and his dog, Benny. Benny was born on Andy’s birthday. From the first day he brought him home, he was his constant companion. Benny and Andy were familiar faces in Westport. On their daily walks, business folks would always have a hello for Andy and a doggy treat for Benny. They were a team. Whether hanging ten in California, counting the stars in the mountains of Colorado or fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks, Andy embraced life. Friends have described him as loyal, funny, passionate, kind hearted, and generous. Employers would say he was hard working, personable and a great salesman. He could sell you the shirt you were wearing and you would tell everyone you got a great deal. Andy had a big personality and never gave up trying to make himself a better man. He is survived by his mother, Kathy, brother Alex (Susan); niece and nephew, Diana and Noah; uncle, Pete (Cara) Campbell; aunts, Connie (Dan) Biondo, Sophie Harris and Rose Moore; grandparents, Bernard & Beverly Campbell; a large, wonderful extended family and his four-legged son - Benny. Andy was proceeded in death by his father, Joseph Soloducha; grandparents Andrew & Hellene Soloducha; uncles, Ed Soloducha, Sam Harris and Duane Moore. The family would like to thank the wonderful people who work at Truman Medical Center/University Health and Midwest Transplant. Their kindness and compassion gave us strength. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26th, 11:00am at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 14 W 75th St, KCMO 64114 with Rev. Thomas B. Curran, SJ presiding. A reception will follow in Seton Hall, below the church, until 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to: St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church (address above). Assistance by Funeral Advocates, LLC. Please join us to celebrate the life of Andy “Baggadonuts” Soloducha, who truly took the blows and did it his way.
