Tina Marie Wyatt

Tina was a woman whose love knew no limits. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She spoke of them often, lighting up with love and never missing a chance to brag about each of them. Her heart truly belonged to her family. She also had a deep love for the lake—where she felt most at peace and most alive. Whether she was out on a boat or simply enjoying the water, those moments brought her pure happiness. Tina never knew a stranger. She had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued from the moment they met her. She was kind to everyone and always ready with a smile and a hug. Her motto in life was simple: everyone was her friend—they just hadn’t met her yet. Tina poured herself into her community in a way that left a lasting mark on countless lives. As an avid member of the Independence Chamber, she was named Connector/Ambassador of the Year for bringing in the most new members. Through her involvement in numerous networking groups, she became the reason hundreds of people came to know one another. A tireless champion of others, she passionately supported her friends and their businesses and genuinely loved helping others succeed. She also ran the local Hometown News, expanding it into Hometown Expos, creating even more opportunities to bring people together. She later rounded out those efforts with Hometown Fireworks, donating a portion of the proceeds to Truman Habitat for Humanity. Tina was fierce, fearless, and a little feisty, and she carried that spirit through every season of life. She documented her time with others the way she lived it—full of joy, always with a selfie, and always with love. Selfless to her core, she would do anything within her means to help someone else, and she fought with incredible strength until her very last breath. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the way she made everyone around her feel like family. Tina is lovingly survived by her mother, Lili Marlene Wilson, and her father, Gary Wyatt. She is also survived by her brother, John Erter (Nichole), and her cherished nephews, Jake and Josh. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Troy Ward. Her children, who were her greatest pride, are Trina (Erun), Savannah (Kyle), Garry (Hailey), and Matthew (Griselda), along with her stepchildren Ashley (Chris), Alli (Kawliga), and Austin (Anastasia). She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren: Justin, Richard (Makayla), Trinity (Hannah), Nevaeh, Brandon Jr., Serenity, Trichelle, Dean, Layla, Kayden, Samaria, KJ, Kallen, Finnlea, and Kolson. She was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Ryker and Kaiser, whom she loved so deeply. Tina’s love will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Services will be held March 29, 2026 at 2pm at Truman Habitat - 501 N. Dodgion Ave, Independence, Mo 64050.
