Obituary Jeremy Alan Morgan April 17, 1973 – May 15, 2021 Jeremy Alan Morgan was born April 17, 1973 to Deborah J. and Stanley (Buck) Morgan, at Miami County Hospital, Paola, Ks. He passed peacefully into Heaven surrounded by friends and family at Research Medical Center ICU on May 15, 2021 after losing a long fight with multiple medical conditions. Growing up, Jeremy attended primary grades through high school in the Olathe Kansas School District and was Baptized June 23, 1985 at First Baptist Church in Paola, Ks., where he attended Sunday School and church as a youth. As a Member of Miami County 4-H club, he enjoyed many Blue-Ribbon years of participation in the Miami Co Fair with his rabbit, Duchess. Jeremy was a loving soul that cared for many pets throughout his life, including wild animals in need, like a newborn squirrel that fell from its nest, which he saved, named Rocky, nurtured to adulthood, and adopted as a family member. He enjoyed and respected the company of elderly people, had a sharp sense of humor, and had the ability to comfort and entertain those around him even in the most difficult times. His career was primarily in the medical field beginning as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, continued his education as a Certified Medication Aide, working in long term care and at Walmart Optometry. He was united in marriage to Shannon McCray in 2003. The union later ended in divorce. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley A. Morgan, paternal grandfather Lloyd Morgan, paternal grandmother Marie (Jones) Cashman; maternal great grandfather, Charles E. Pritchard, maternal great grandmother Hester (Waddell) Pritchard, maternal great grandfather Roy Waldo Plaisted, maternal great grandmother Mildred (Nichelson) Plaisted, maternal grandfather, Charles I. Pritchard, maternal grandmother, Faye Joanne (Plaisted) Pritchard and a strong lineage of Christian heritage. He is survived by his mother, Deborah J. Morgan, Butler, Mo, a paternal half-brother, Sturgis Morgan, Woodstock, Illinois, maternal aunt, Rhonda Eaker, paternal uncle, Steve Morgan, many cousins and loved ones.
