Harold Wallace (Skip) Passonno Jr

In loving memory Harold W. (Skip) Passonno, Jr., 68, of Overland Park, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from heart failure. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A service will be held at the Church of the Ascension (9510 W 127th St, Overland Park, KS 66213) on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow. Flowers are welcome. Skip was born in Kansas City, MO to Harold W. Passonno, Sr. and Bettie L. Clee on March 14, 1952. He graduated from Ruskin High School in 1970. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War Era and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He met Aurora Palacay and were married on July 8, 1989. After High School, he then went on to study computer science and had a successful career as a Technical Lead | Senior Developer | Systems Analyst, developing innovative systems for retail distribution, among other things. He was an avid film, book, and music lover and as a giving and caring person, was consistently supporting children in need throughout his life. He was preceded in death by parents Harold and Bettie, including stepmother Deane Hoskins, and brothers John David and Michael. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years- Aurora Passonno; beloved daughters Victoria Passonno and Jacqueline Passonno; adored granddaughters Khloe Conklin and Lilah Senger; his dear mother-in-law Cesaria Valdez; his brothers and sisters Stephen Passonno and wife Bonnie of Holt, MO, Julie Scherrer of Lee’s Summit, MO, Jane Monterosso and husband Brent of Rochester Hills, MI, Kathryn Jones and husband Robert of Lee’s Summit, MO, Leslie Faris of Rochester, MI, Hali Bouska and husband Michael of Topeka, KS, Allen Matthews and wife Theresa of Leawood, KS, and Sharon Angotti of Lee’s Summit, MO; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. The Passonno Family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Overland Park Regional Hospital ICU Staff, Father Anthony Mersmann and Church of the Holy Cross, Father Tom Tank and Church of the Ascension, and family and friends for their loving support during this difficult time.
