Donna Fox

DONNA FOX 12/17/1952 – 11/14/2021 Donna Fox, Richmond, MO (formerly of Parkville, MO) passed peacefully into her Savior’s arms on November 14, 2021. She was preceded in death by her “prince charming”, Robert (Bob) Fox. She is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Jackie Dean of Kansas City, MO, and her beloved fur babies, Mai Tai, Marsha, Surri, Ting-Ting, and Yuki. Donna Fox was a very skilled and talented artist, jewelry maker, and gardener. Her flower garden was always a showstopper, and she was a wealth of knowledge on many plants and flowers. She loved all animals, especially cats and cared for many over the years. Donna wanted to express her gratefulness and love to Tim and Linda McFarland and Ken Kenyon for their love and steadfast friendships over the many years. She was also incredibly grateful for the many who came alongside her during these past two difficult years and helped her in so many ways including the Richmond Police and Fire Department, and Ray County EMS. Thank you also to Julie and Kyle Sullivan for not only helping her with her house and yard, but for being a special light to her with your friendship; to Moises Mendoza for always being there when she needed something done (and for your friendship); to Roz who made her laugh and genuinely cared; to all the hospice nurses and aids of Lumicare/Traditions for helping care and keep her at home as long as she could (and for her continued hospice care); to those who adopted her fur babies you were such a source of comfort to her knowing her babies were going to be well cared for. To the staff of Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab, you brought Donna many happy times. You cared and comforted her in so many ways and brought her much joy in her final days! Special thanks to Melissa for being that shining light just when Donna needed it. Thank you for loving on her when we could not be there. Donna asked Jesus into her heart a couple of months before she passed. She would tell you, “Jesus loves you no matter what you have done or where you have been. Call upon his name and ask for his forgiveness. Invite him to live in your heart. It is never too late.” Donna’s favorite song was “You Say” by Lauren Daigle: You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing You say I am strong when I think I am weak \And you say I am held when I am falling short And when I don’t belong, oh You say I am yours And I believe, Oh, I believe What you say of me, I believe. There will be a Celebration of Life service for Donna in the Spring. In lieu of flowers or contributions, be kind to a stranger today.
