Darrell Scott Aspey

Darrell Scott Aspey, 47, of Raymore, MO passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at home surrounded by love. Scott was born on Oct 10, 1974. He grew up in Grandview, MO and was a 1994 Graduate of Grandview High School. At the age of 14 he met the love of his life Cindi at Grandview Skate Land. He married that girl on May 15, 1999. Together they have 2 beautiful kids, Tyler Scott & Kayla Michelle. He loved his kids with his whole heart. He talked often to his siblings about how proud he was of each of his kids. Cindi, Tyler and Kayla were his whole world. Scott had a big heart and was always helping others. If you knew Scott well, he’s probably helped you fix something, build something or tear something down at one time or another. Scott lived a life of work hard play harder. He loved to fish and spending time at the lake, he was known for his BBQ’s, he enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and was the personal taco chef for his mom. But even she could not avoid his pranks, he would often tease her about feeding her fish tacos instead of beef. Scott was known for his humor. He was always quick with a comeback or some off the wall comment that would just catch you off guard. He’d either have you in a belly laugh or shaking your head right before he gave you a little smirk. Through his year long battle with cancer his humor remained in tact. He was pulling pranks on his family up until the very end. He loved to tinker and you could always find him working on something. Scott was very fortunate to work for a few local family owned businesses throughout his short lifetime who treated him like family. He loved each of them as much as they loved him. Scott is survived by his wife Cindi Aspey and two children Tyler & Kayla, of Raymore, MO, his parents Richard & Marilyn Aspey of Grandview, MO, two sisters Tammy (Jeremy) Pierce of Colorado Springs, CO, Richie (aka ila) Aspey of Grandview, MO, two brothers JR (Cassie) Aspey of Creighton, MO, Dustin Aspey of Kansas City, MO, and several nieces and nephews all loved him beyond measure.
