Beverly Ann Rogers

Beverly Ann Rogers, age 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Grandview, MO. She was a cherished Mother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, and Momma Bear of her communities. Beverly was born on August 18, 1943, to Raymond Griffes and Bernice Stevens in Howard City, MI. She was a woman who could do just about anything she put her mind to. She worked as a bus driver, sewing machine operator at Wolverine, daycare/latchkey provider for Tri County Schools, and babysitter to many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and grand/great-grandchildren. In her spare time, Beverly loved to cook and bake for her family, enjoyed having coffee with neighbors and family in town, and gardening. She did most of these activities while singing her favorite Patsy Cline or Dolly Parton songs throughout the day. She was a staple in the Howard City community even after she moved down to Kansas City to be with her daughter, Robin. Once in Kansas City, Beverly became a regular at the Belton Wellness Center where she walked daily until the onset of Covid. She made many new friends and loved going on new adventures, especially if they ended in dessert! Starting in 2021, she became a resident and part of the Lifecare of Grandview Memory Care Family where she was loved and doted on by every nurse and caretaker she came across. Beverly is survived by her children Robin Rogers and Dennis (Jennifer) Rogers; siblings Irma Jean (Ralph) Harris, Jane (Adrian) Lindsey, and Terry (Jan) Griffes; many cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Bernice Griffes and children Cheryl (Russell) Graves, Jeffery (Teresa) Russell, Allen Russell, and Jeff Rogers. A celebration of life for those in the Kansas City area will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Centerview Community Hall (227 Municipal Circle, Raymore, MO 64083), with visitation starting at 1pm, followed by services starting at 1:30pm. An additional celebration of life will be held in Howard City, MI on August 18, 2026, with location and final time to be announced by the family soon.
